Dear Sharon School Project Supporter,
As we share these photographs of the Sharon School Project, we want to once again express our heartfelt gratitude for your generosity. Your early support has provided the lifeline this project needed to move from a dream to reality. Because of you, construction is underway, and for the first time, we can truly see the vision taking shape.
While we have made tremendous progress, we are still a long way from the finish line. There is much work ahead, but your confidence in this project has allowed us to begin with optimism and purpose.
We are also excited to share that, if all goes according to plan, the historic Sharon School will begin its journey to Wilton in the coming weeks. We have not yet publicly announced all the details surrounding the move, but by the time you receive this letter, we will begin sharing more information through the Sharon School Facebook page. If you haven't already done so, we encourage you to follow the page to receive updates, photographs, videos, and announcements as this exciting chapter unfolds.
As many of you know, our long-term plan is to recognize and honor the generosity of those who have helped make this project possible. However, at this early stage we have chosen to keep individual donations and donor recognition private. We feel it is important not to get ahead of ourselves or unintentionally place one donor's generosity above another's while our fundraising efforts are still underway. When the time is right, we look forward to acknowledging everyone who has helped bring the Sharon School back to life in a thoughtful and meaningful way.
Our next phase of fundraising is now beginning. While we have quietly started reaching out beyond our initial supporters we plan to begin our corporate and business ask throughout Wilton and the surrounding communities. Although the Sharon School once served the small rural Sharon area north of Wilton, its story transcends Cedar and Muscatine Counties. It represents a shared piece of Iowa's rural educational heritage that deserves to be preserved for generations to come.
As the project continues to move forward, we invite you to stay connected by following the Sharon School Project Facebook page. It will serve as the primary source for project updates, construction progress, historical discoveries, photographs, videos, upcoming events, and opportunities to become involved as we work together to bring the Sharon School back to life.
Thank you once again for believing in this vision and helping make it possible. We are honored to have you as part of the Sharon School family. If you have any questions about the project, please don't hesitate to contact us. We look forward to sharing many more milestones with you in the months ahead.
With sincere appreciation,
Lynn & Brenda Ochiltree
